SALT LAKE CITY, UT - July 24, 2008 - The Golden State Warriors defeated the NBA Development League Ambassadors 82-81 in the NBA D-League team's third and final game at the Rocky Mountain Revue presented by StoresOnline which is being held on the campus of Salt Lake Community College.

Golden State's Anthony Morrow topped all scorers with 19 points, while teammate Rob Kurz secured a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in the win. Nick Lewis (Bakersfield) led all Ambassadors scorers with 17 points on five-of-seven shooting from the floor, while fellow NBA D-League stars Glen McGowan (Sioux Falls) and Errick Craven (Los Angeles) each tallied 15 points in the one-point loss. Doug Thomas (Iowa) spearheaded the effort on the boards, collecting eight rebounds.

Led by Josh Gross' nine-point first half, the Ambassadors bested the Warriors for the opening seven minutes of the game until Golden State exploded for a 10-0 run, leading by as many as seven points in the first quarter's final three minutes to finish the period up by four, 19-15. Golden State kept their momentum into the second period, opening up a 13-point advantage, 40-27, on the back of hot-shooting Morrow's 10-point half to end the second quarter.

The team of NBA D-League stars opened the third quarter with a 12-4 run to cut the Warriors advantage to six, before the see-saw that was the third period began. Golden State and the Ambassadors traded runs, with the NBA D-Leaguers cutting the deficit to as few as four points, before the Warriors finished up the quarter with a 12-point lead, 65-53, despite being outscored by the Ambassadors 26-25 in the period.

The Ambassadors trailed through the fourth quarter, but never gave up their intensity, battling back to within three, 80-77 with 1:45 left on the clock. With a minute to play, McGowan found his way to the free-throw line to bring his team within one. Morrow hit a fade-away jumper with 40 seconds to play to put Golden State up by three before Craven got fouled, and, hitting both of his free throws, brought the NBA D-Leaguers back within one, 82-81, with 34.7 to play. The Ambassadors regained possession with six seconds to play after an Anthony Randolph miss, and, following an NBA D-League timeout, Lewis' last-second shot hit the rim to give the Warriors the one point win, 82-81.

In their first two games at the Revue, the Ambassadors dropped a three-point game, 68-65, to the San Antonio Spurs on July 19 and fell to the Atlanta Hawks, 74-70, on July 21. The Warriors came into the game with a perfect 2-0 record, having defeated the New Jersey Nets and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Ambassadors finish their summer schedule with a 2-3 record, including two exhibition wins against I.R. Iran, the Iranian National Team.
