Druid City Dragons News Release
In Pro Basketball News.com the Druid City Dragons received an honorable mention in Minor Leagues Basketball "Magnificent Seven." Of the seven, three are fellow WBA teams. The Dragons have defeated all three once, beating Cleveland, splitting with Murfreesboro and winning the last of four meetings with the Rome Gladiators, arguably the best team in Minor League Basketball, (talent, coaching, front office).
The Dragons have made a noticeable change with the addition of a true big man, Mack McGadney, former Auburn star. "This opens a whole new game for us," says Dragons general manager Mark Booth. "His play along with former Auburn teammate Brandon Robinson has really made a huge difference in the total team play."
The Dragons are poised for a run at the WBA Title to be decided on July 1. The Dragons have two remaining home games, Thursday June 15 vs. Murfreesboro and Saturday June 17 vs. Cleveland. Both games are scheduled for 7pm at Central High School West gym.
