Dragons look to continue winning streak against Musicians

The Druid City Dragons will be back in Tuscaloosa looking to defend the home court against the Murfreesboro Musicians this Friday night. The game will begin at 7:00 PM at Central West High School. Check out druidcitydragons.com for directions. After falling just short in the first game of the season, the Dragons have stormed back to take the last two games including a home opening win against the Marietta Storm. Following up last Tuesday's home win, the Dragons traveled to Anderson, SC, and froze the Heat, 118-84.

Murfreesboro comes into town with after ! splitting two home and home series with the Rome Gladiators an! d the Cl eveland Majic. The Musicians are loaded with talent, including big Julius Lamptey, a 7-foot, 1-inch, 275-pound center. But the stars of the hometown Dragons are beginning to shine. Three games into the season, center Patrick Culver is averaging 19 points and 13 rebounds per game while point guard Derrick Williams is racking up 16 points and 10 assists per game.

Friday night's game will be a match-up of WBA titans as the teams from middle Tennessee and west Alabama come together to battle it out on the hardwood. Come watch the! game and bring your family and friends for a "rootin-tootin" good time!
