BJ the Birthday Boy: Sounds outfielder BJ Boyd is celebrating his 25th birthday today. Boyd is a career .368 (7-for-19) hitter on his birthday. In July 16 games, he has 5 runs, 3 RBI, 1 home run, 1 triple, 1 double and 2 walks. Boyd is hitting seventh and playing right field tonight.

Vs. Omaha: As the Sounds and Storm Chasers embark on their final four-game series of the season, the two teams have split the first 12 of the season series, six games each. Nashville is hitting .246 (95-for-386) in the first 12 games while Omaha is batting at a .251 (95-for-378) clip. Current Sounds hitting over .300 against the Storm Chasers this year include BJ Boyd (.368, 7-for-19), Steve Lombardozzi (.370, 10-for-27), Bruce Maxwell (.333, 4-for-12) and Beau Taylor (.357, 5-for-14).

Errorless Baseball: The Sounds have gone six-plus games and 53 2/3 innings without committing an error. The last error they committed was when Bruce Maxwell had an errant throw on a stolen base attempt in the fifth inning against Iowa on July 7. It's the second-longest errorless streak of the season. The team went 66 innings without an error from May 2-9.

Naile's Seventh Start of Seven Innings: James Naile recorded his seventh start of 7.0 innings in yesterday's loss to Iowa. Nashville starters have gone seven or more innings 10 times this year. Frankie Montas went 8.0 innings on May 14 and Daniel Gossett seven 7.0 innings on May 5 and May 10.
