NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club had to wait 120 minutes plus penalties to find out its first 2019 USL Championship Playoffs opponent on Wednesday night, but it will host No. 9 seed Charleston Battery on Saturday at First Tennessee Park.

Charleston outlasted No. 8 Ottawa Fury FC in penalties in the Play-In Round after the sides were all square at 1-1 after 120 minutes. Nashville will face Charleston after No. 10 Birmingham Legion FC pulled a stoppage time stunner in the other Eastern Conference Play-In match when it scored in the final minute to upset No. 7 North Carolina FC in Cary, N.C.

Nashville and Charleston have met five times previously with Nashville winning once and the sides drawing once. The Boys in Gold fell in the first meeting of the 2019 season 3-1 in USL Championship play before the sides drew 1-1 with Charleston advancing on penalties in a back-and-forth affair in U.S. Open Cup play in May at Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro. Nashville SC earned a matter of revenge in August when it scored a stoppage time winner to beat the Battery 2-1 at First Tennessee Park.

Tickets are still available to Saturday's Eastern Conference Quarterfinal at First Tennessee Park between Nashville SC and Charleston Battery at 7 p.m. As a reminder, all Season Ticket Members have tickets to the match which are currently accessible in their Account Manager.
