Nashville Kats Sign WR Brian Bratton

NASHVILLE- The Nashville Kats agreed to terms with WR Brian Bratton announced Head Coach/Dir. of Football Operations Pat Sperduto. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bratton (5'10 186 Furman) comes to the Kats after spending time with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens and NFL Europe's Cologne Centurions. While with the Centurions in 2006, Bratton started 10 games registering 23 catches for 280 yards and two touchdowns.

Bratton was a two-year starter at Furman University, finishing his career ranked second in receptions (131) and touchdown receptions (18) and fifth with 1,826 receiving yards. Bratton was a consensus All-Southern Conference selection after catching 55 passes for 788 yards and a team-leading nine touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, received All-Southern Conference honors after posting 45 receptions for 596 yards and four touchdowns. In his sophomore campaign, recorded 29 catches for 398 yards and five touchdowns. Was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year in 2001 after leading NCAA I-AA in kickoff returns with a 37.2 return average and scoring three touchdowns.

Nashville will continue to sign players in the coming months gearing up for a 2007 season in which the Kats will compete in the AFL's Central Division. The division houses the past two ArenaBowl Champions (Chicago Rush 2006, Colorado Crush 2005) and added the Kansas City Brigade in a realignment change.
