Nashville Broncs Stay Atop Power Rankings
Published on December 9, 2008 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced its Power Rankings for the week of December 8th - and for the fourth straight week, based on a 6-0 regular league record, the Nashville Broncs hold the top position. "I'd like to say that Nashville hasn't faced tough competition," stated Burrel Lee III, ABA West Coast Operations Director. "But actually they've beaten some very good teams and are certainly deserving of their position atop our rankings. However, after this weekend's heavy schedule, there are some very strong teams out there and they will be challenged. Look out for my team (Maywood) and the South Texas Showboats that beat a very strong Southeast Texas Mustangs squad." The rankings:
1. Nashville Broncs
2. Maywood Buzz
3. South Texas Showboats
4. Alaska Dream
5. Jersey Express
6. Kentucky Bisons
7. San Diego Wildcats
8. San Francisco Rumble
9. Beijing Aoshen Olympian
10. South Texas Mustangs
11. Knoxville Thunderbolts
12. Washington Raptors
13. Cleveland Rockers
14. Houston Takers
15. Salt Lake City Saints
16. Montreal Matrix
17. West Virginia Blazers
18. Chicago Steam
19. Mississippi Blues
20. Los Angeles Push
21. Modesto Bearcats
22. Las Vegas Aces
23. Sacramento Heatwave
24. Georgia Gwizzlies
"Look for some big changes next week as most of the teams get their seasons underway," added Lee.
