Name Our Cheerleaders Now – Become A Sponsor

March 4, 2009 - Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL)
Austin Turfcats News Release

Austin, TX - The founding Austin Turfcats cheerleading squad is looking for exceptional women of excellence. They will be a symbol of Turfcat spirit and pride both on and off the field as ambassadors serving the Austin and greater surrounding Austin area.

Cheerleading is a sport and an over 100 year institution. Indoor football is a traditional sport that uses cheerleaders to direct fans to cheer and as a form of increase the attendance at the stadium, the Austin Turfcats have decided to embrace this all-American tradition and establish its own squad of dancers.

Jack Dixon, Director of Game Operations, added, "Our squad will be active throughout Central Texas and we need the fans input to put on the final touches for this inaugural squad."

Our cheerleading squad for this season is still being formed and tryouts will be held in March 2009 to help us select the best performers.

Also, we decided to give our fans the opportunity to name our cheerleaders, the same way we did with our mascot - Slash. Just drop an email to jack@turfcats.com and give us your best ideas. The winner will be recognized at a future Turfcats game this season.

The team cheerleaders are currently seeking a title sponsor. Having your company's name on our team can reach approximately 250,000 sports fans each year. More importantly, a title sponsorship can help establish a scholarship fund for members of our team. With rising tuition, and increased demands on our team, we desperately need a scholarship fund to ensure our program's success.

Great locations are still available for the 2009 season! Act now to reserve the best seats. Call a Season Sales Representative today at 866-969-8228 (TCAT) to reserve your seats today. The Austin Turfcats are committed to being a premier team in the Southern Indoor Football League and being involved in the community for which we serve.
