St. Louis forward Evan Stibbard connected for two goals and two assists as the Bandits skated to a two-game sweep over Springfield. On Friday, the Windsor, Ontario, native tallied a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory. The next night, the 20-year-old notched a goal and an assist as the Bandits bested the Jr. Blues, 6-4. He was also a plus-1 on the weekend.

"Evan plays very determined all over the ice and he's dangerous with the puck on his stick," said Bandits assistant coach Trevor Stewart.

SBK HOCKEY/NAHL WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jacob Barber - Alaska Avalanche

Alaska forward Jacob Barber recorded a hat trick in the Avalanche's 5-2 victory over Kenai River on Friday. In the Avs' two-game split with the Brown Bears, Barber, an 18-year-old from Dardenne Prairie, Mo., was also a plus-2.

"Jacob really showed up to play on Friday evening for us," said Avalanche head coach Brian Huebel. "He worked hard to put himself in good positions to capitalize on his opportunities."

SBK HOCKEY/NAHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK David Jacobson - Janesville Jets

Janesville goaltender David Jacobson backstopped the Jets to a two-game sweep over Chicago, turning aside 56 of 60 shots. On Friday, the Janesville native made 19 saves in a 5-2 victory. The next night, the 19-year-old stopped 27 shots as the Jets downed the Hitmen, 3-2.

"David played very well last weekend," said Jets head coach Dane Litke. "He showed a lot of confidence in his game and we hope he'll continue that at the upcoming (NAHL) Showcase (Tournament)."
