
NAHL Announces 2011-12 All-Rookie Teams

FRISCO, TEXAS -The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its All-Rookie Teams for the 2011-12 season, as selected by the league's coaches and general managers.
2011-12 NAHL All-Rookie 1st Team
Forward: Frank Dichiara, St. Louis Bandits
Forward: Gage Christianson, Alaska Avalanche
Forward: Brendan Bradley, Fresno Monsters
Defense: Garrett Cecere, Janesville Jets
Defense: Anthony Appleyard, Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings
Goalie: Connor Hellebuyck, Odessa Jackalopes
2011-12 NAHL All-Rookie 2nd Team
Forward: Ben Bahe, Topeka RoadRunners
Forward: Evan Janssen, Alaska Avalanche
Forward: Kyle Schempp, Traverse City North Stars
Defense: Justin Woods, Fairbanks Ice Dogs
Defense: Nolan Valleau, Port Huron Fighting Falcons
Goalie: Robert Nichols, Wenatchee Wild
NAHL players that are playing in their first year of Junior A hockey, or entered the season having played less than 10 NAHL regular season games are considered rookies.
The All-NAHL Divisional Teams will be announced on May 2nd. The All-NAHL Team, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Brian's Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with the Academic Achievement Award, Gongshow Lifestyle Community Service Award and Mark Messier Leadership Award winners, will be all be announced on May 6th and 7th.
