Glen Gulutzan to Headline Banquet of Champions

The Texas Tornado have announced that Dallas Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan will be the keynote speaker at the NAHL Banquet of Champions on Sunday, May 6th at the Embassy Suites in Frisco. In his first season as Stars head coach, Gulutzan led the team to a 42-35-5 record, though the team fell just short of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Before coming to Dallas, Gulutzan served as the head coach of both the AHL's Texas Stars and Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Prior to his coaching experience, Gulutzan enjoyed a seven-season professional hockey career.

"We're happy that Coach Gulutzan will be speaking at the upcoming Banquet of Champions," Tornado Vice President Ben Weber said. "With the Robertson Cup here in Frisco, Gulutzan is someone who will appeal to both fans of hockey in Texas and hockey in general."

Cocktails will be available starting at 6:00 p.m. while dinner will be served at 7:00. The NAHL will also be handing out a myriad of awards, including the Goaltender of the Year, Coach of the Year, League MVP, and the announcement of the All-NAHL team.
