Myrtle Beach, SC: The National Indoor Football League has a new team on the schedule, Palmetto Entertainment Group, LLC announced today the arrival of the new Myrtle Beach Indoor Football team to begin play at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in spring of 2003. Following this announcement, the first of player signings was released.
Get ready all Division one football fans for two star athletes that will surely light up the Myrtle Beach field!
Oscar Davenport, former UNC Quarterback, and Peach Bowl MVP, has been signed to the MBIF camp roster and is an exciting addition to the new team. Oscar is a big and mobile guy with excellent overall athletic ability and NFL size. He has the ability to create plays with his feet, and he has a strong arm and better accuracy than many people think.

John Lewis, former Wake Forest Running Back, has been signed as the first RB to the new roster. John is an incredibly versatile player, and an outstanding leader on the field. John was awarded the prestigious Brian Piccolo award in 1996. John graduated from Wake in 1997 with a BA in Sociology.
