Myke Darrough Joins River Kings Front Office

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The Cedar Rapids River Kings General Manager Ryan Eucker has announced the hiring of Myke Darrough as the team's director of partnerships and promotions.
Myke, a native of Flint, Michigan, is no stranger to the sports industry. Since being involved in sports from a young age and growing up around boxing promotion, he has gone on to form his own marketing and promotions company called Truly Grand Sports Promotions LLC. Myke was also the youngest owners of a minor league basketball team when he started the Vehicle City Royals of the New Era Basketball Association in Flint in 2016. He later went on to be involved with the World Club Basketball Association and gained experience in international marketing and partnerships.
He got his first taste of indoor football after he relocated to Cedar Rapids two years ago.
"I attended my first Titans game shortly after moving to Cedar Rapids and knew it was something I had to be involved with," said Darrough. "With the changes the new ownership and management is making, their vision, and their commitment to the community; I don't think there is a better time than now to be a part of this organization.
Beyond his experience in sports marketing and promotions, Myke has been a dedicated member of the community. While in Flint and the Genesee County, he supported efforts such as the "Stop The Silence" campaign and The Warrior Foundation. Since becoming a member of the Cedar Rapids area, Myke has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club and looks forward to developing new community partnerships between the River Kings and local non-profits and youth programs.
"He [Myke] has a great mind for entertainment and promotions, but also a deep appreciation and understanding of the importance of community involvement within minor league sports," said River Kings General Manager Ryan Eucker. "That was one, of the many, outstanding qualities that got me extremely excited to work with him and make him an integral part of our organization."
Myke is a 2005 graduate of Swartz Creek High School where he was a varsity letterman in football and basketball. He also founded several companies over the years such as Grand Cru Entertainment and the Leaders of Tomorrow (L.O.T. Program).
