
Mutiny Battle Phoenix in Women's Football Home Opener

The Mass Mutiny, member of the National Women's Football Association, kicks of it's season April 3rd against it's biggest rival the Philly Phoenix.
These two teams have long battled for the Northern Division Championship and the game is sure to be the best women's football has to offer. The Mutiny, 2002 SupHer Bowl runner-up, is a perennial playoff contender and primed to maintain New England's winning football tradition.
Opening day marks a homecoming for the Mutiny as it returns to UMASS Lowell's Cushing Field. The team roster is comprised of several NWFA All-Stars and is lead by Head Coach Patrick McStay. McStay, a former Mutiny receiver's coach, and current Northboro Police Sergeant, runs the powerhouse team onto the field at 7:05.
Comprised of 37 teams, the NWFA is divided into six regional divisions.
The eight game regular season is highlighted by weekly live broadcasts on the Football Network and culminates with the National Championship in July.
