Mustangs Win 15th Straight Game

The ABA's #1 ranked Southeast Texas Mustangs (16-1) won their 15th straight game on Wednesday evening in Houston, TX as they defeated the #13 ranked Houston Takers (6-8) 132 - 116.

The Mustangs put seven players in double figures as they fought off a very good young Takers team. The Mustangs are 4-0 vs the Takers this season. This was by far the most competitive game between these two Texas Pro Basketball Franchises.

The Mustangs were led by Jamaal Davis' 22 points. DeRon Rutledge had 20 points, while AnthonyLumpkin put in 17 points. Currye Todd, Alex Sanders, Jerry Williams, and Antonio Lawrence also scored in double figures for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs have now compiled a 9-0 record on the road thus far this season.

Southeast Texas will now go home for a five game home stand at the Ford Arena in Beaumont, TX. They will host the Texas City Rangers this Sunday night at 7:00 PM.
