Mustangs Release Training Camp Roster

The Southeast Texas Mustangs today release their Veterans Training Camp Roster.

The Mustangs will open camp in a weeks time when their players report to Beaumont, TX for the beginning of Training Camp on Sunday, November 23rd!

"This is a real talented group and we are expecting big things from them! With talent comes expectations and we have plenty of both! We do feel like we can have an outstanding team that can compete and win the ABA Championship this season!" states Mustangs General Manager and Head Coach Steve Tucker.

The Mustangs Veterans Training Camp Roster will include 18 players that will compete for 12 Active Roster Positions:

POINT GUARDS:

Tim Pledger (6'1-170) - Veteran Pro Point Guard - Has won two IBL Championships

Anthony Lumpkin (6'1-170) - One of the top point guards on this level of professional basketball

Brandon Andrews (6'3-190) - Rookie Player - Found in the SETX Mustangs Tryout Camp

Darron Hopkins (6'2-180) - Lamar University graduate - stared at LU

OFF GUARD:

Donald Harris (6'4-190) - Veteran Pro Swing Man - Former ABA All-Star

Aubrey Stevenson (6'4-185) - Explosive & Active Player from Oklahoma City, OK - Found in Tryout Camp

Steven Alexander (6'4-190) - Veteran Swing Guard - Known for his toughness

Bryan Burrell (6'3-175) - Played collegiate at UT-Pan American - Exciting Offensive Player

SWING FORWARD:

Jerry Williams (6'6-235) - Dominate Swing Forward - Former ABA All-Star

Courtney Bradley (6'5-230) - Exciting Offensive Player that was found in the SETX Mustangs Tryout Camp

Currye Todd (6'5-190) - Playerd at Lamar University - Known for his Long Range Shooting

Franklin Paul (6'5-225) - Played at McNeese State University & from Beaumont, TX

POWER FORWARD:

DeRon Rutledge (6'6-240) - Known for his ability to Win & Score - Former ABA All-Star

Lamar Sanders (6'7-240) - Tough & Rugged Inside Player who played at Lamar University

CENTER:

Johnny Tyson (6'11-250) - Big Time Shot Blocker - Known as Spyderman for his long reach

Alvin Jefferson (6'10-260) - Veteran Big Man that Wins everywhere he plays

Donnie Jackson (6'9-220) - Very Talented & Athletic frontline player

Julius Lamptey (7'1-280) - Big Time Talent out of High School in Oklahoma City, OK - 22 years old now looking for a pro home

The Mustangs will open practice on Monday night; November 24th at 7:00 PM at Ozen High School.
