Mustangs Find New Stable for 2006

Macomb County Mustangs News Release


The Macomb County Mustangs are ready to gear up for the upcoming season and have found a new home to play for at for the 2006 season. The Mustangs will be tipping off at St. Clement School in Centerline; the school is located off Van Dyke between 10 Mile Road and 11 Mile Road. St. Clement will hold all 10 home games for the Mustangs as well as provide the team with practice time, and hold tryout's which are going to be sometime in December.

Team Owner and President Bill Bullock meet with Principle Michelle Shepherd and Pastor Michael Gawlowski Monday morning about the idea of the Mustangs playing out of the school which holds just over 1,000 people per game. "I thing it is great for our school as well as our community" said Shepherd.

The Mustangs plan on announcing a charity game that will be played in October or November. The game will be the Mustangs vs. St. Clement teachers, which the Mustangs and St. Clement hope to be a huge success to help raise money for the school.

"I am excited about this, the gym is great and it will be nice to have a school that wants to get behind the program, also Pastor Gawlowski also mentioned that he wanted the Parish to get behind the program well" said Bullock.

"We have other things in the works as well, I have talked to some of the guys about returning for next year and we will be announcing them over the next few weeks" said Bullock.

The Mustangs are also on the right track with corporate sponsors and have already signed on past sponsors and have added new ones as well. Team Chiropractor Jeffery Matoshko is coming back to support the Mustangs this year and has even ordered a block of tickets to donate to the students at St. Clement for the home opener and tickets to donate to the Boys and Girls Club.

Mustang Season Tickets are now on sale for an Early Bird price till August 31st for just $35 per seat. Starting September 1st adult season tickets will be on sale for $60 and children 14 and under for $40. For more info or to order your tickets please call the Mustangs office at 586-206-4346.
