Macon Music News Release
MACON, GA - By sweeping the double header Saturday night against the South Georgia Peanuts, the Music clinched a spot in the SCL championship this weekend against the Peanuts.
The play-off series will start Friday in Macon with the first pitch at 7:05 pm, then game 2 will be Saturday in Albany (first pitch at 7:10) and game 3 (if necessary) will be Sunday in Albany(first pitch at 6:10).
For those interested in play-off tickets for Friday night's game they are available by stopping by the Luther Williams Field or online at www.maconbaseball.com. The cost will be $10 for box seats and $8 for GA seats. Season ticket holders will have first right of their seats, but they have to claim them by noon Wednesday.
The Music beat the Peanuts 9-7 in the season series. There has also been some bad blood between these two teams when they had a bench clear fight back on July 20 when a South Georgia pitcher threw at Music right fielder Carlos Arroyo while the Music were beating them 12-2. Then the controversial Peanut manager, Wally Backman, took his team off the field and forfeited the game.
The Music still have one series before the championship. They play the Anderson Joes starting tonight.
