Tulsa, OK - The Muscogee (Creek) Nation (MCN) National Council, by a majority vote, authorized its Principal Chief to enter into a multi-year marquee co-partnership of the Tulsa Revolution professional indoor soccer team. MCN's River Spirit Casino is the other co-partner. Under the terms of the agreement, the Tribe agreed to a three year advertising partnership and field labeling rights. The Tribal seal will appear on one side of the arena turf playing area and the River Spirit logo will appear on the other. In addition, the Tribe and River Spirit will be provided game program listing, website listing as well as other benefits. Principal Chief George Tiger stated, "I have always believed in forming collaborative partnerships and providing support in the communities that we share. This bill was sponsored by National Council Speaker and Tulsa District Representative Sam Alexander who is an avid supporter of competitive sports."
The Tulsa Revolution is a professional arena soccer franchise competing in the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL), the largest major indoor soccer league in the United States. 2013 marks the team's inaugural season in the PASL starting in November. The Tulsa Revolution is a "grass roots" effort with local management and ownership. The players are comprised of local talent along with a handful of veteran indoor soccer professionals. "The Tulsa Revolution is tremendously excited to begin a long prosperous relationship with the Muscogee Creek Nation and River Spirit Casino," said Shannon Clark, team co-owner. "We are humbled by the fact that Principal Chief Tiger and the members of the Creek Nation believe in our love for the game and community by helping us bring Professional Arena Soccer to Tulsa."
The Tulsa Revolution will host all of its home matches at the Cox Business Center in Downtown Tulsa. The arena will allow for 7,000 available seats for fans and supporters, which will include four premium VIP Suites available to the general public.
