
Murray Gets Regular-Season Win #200 Saturday Night

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Alaska Aces coach Rob Murray has had many accomplishments in his career. As a player, a third-round draft pick of the Washington Capitals, an AHL All-Star game appearance his number 23 retired by the Springfield Falcons and the AHL Hall of Fame.
As a coach, an impressive run as an assistant, then the main bench boss of the AHL Providence Bruins, ECHL Coach of the Year of the Aces for 2011-12, ECHL All-Star game coach in 2012-13, and of course, an AcesKelly Cup Championship in 2014.
Add to that impressive list regular-season win number 200 behind the Aces bench.
Murray got the milestone victory Saturday night at Colorado as the Aces dumped the Eagles 5-2.
"I knew I was gonna eventually get it," Murray dead-panned in a radio interview with Aces radio announcer Kurt Haider on the Aces flagship station KFQD in Anchorage after the game. "The guys played so well...it was a nice win and of course a memorable one for number 200."
Murray's complete record with Alaska is 200-121-40.
Murray and the Aces go for win number 201 Friday, October 28 in the 2016-17 home opener against Rapid City at the Sullivan Arena.
