At UNC-Charlotte Juan was named 3rd Team All-Conference USA in 2000 and 2001. Juan earned "Team of the Week" (week 13) honors for his goal and strong offensive effort in the 4-0 victory over the Northern Virginia Royals on July 9th at Waddell Stadium.

"Juan brings speed and creativity to our offense, with the ability to take defenders on one on one and create scoring chances. He did this last Saturday night in Wilmington for his second goal of the game" commented Eagles Head Coach Mark Steffens.

Dustin Swinehart was honored with PSL "Team of the Week" honors for the fourth time this season. Swinehart had a very stron week for Charlotte with four goals and three assists in three wins. The Charlotte Eagles have another busy week this week. Tonight they face the Carolina Dynamo of the PDL. The Eagles will be looking for revenge after losing to the Dynamo 4-2 in round one of the US Open Cup. Following tonight's match, the Eagles return home for another doubleheader with the Lady Eagles on Saturday, July 17th. The Eagles will host the Westchester Flames at beautiful Waddell Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm. Charlotte Rescue Mission will be at the stadium collecting socks in their effort to "Sock Out Homelessness."
