Mudbugs Host Oilers Tonight in Deciding Game 5

BOSSIER CITY, LA - On the heels of last night's 3-2 overtime victory in Game 4, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will return home to face the Tulsa Oilers in the decisive Game 5 of their Berry Conference Semifinal series at 7:05 pm tonight at the CenturyTel Center. With the series tied at two games apiece, tonight's winner will advance to the Berry Conference Finals to meet the Governors' Cup Champion Allen Americans.
Last night in Tulsa, Bossier-Shreveport extended the series and forced tonight's Game 5 when Andy Contois scored his first goal of the playoffs at 7:27 of overtime to give the ¬ËBugs a 3-2 win. The Oilers were looking to close out the series after taking Game 3 by that same score, but have now been forced to return to the CenturyTel Center for tonight's do-or-die Game 5 here. The winner of tonight's game will then face Allen in the best-of-seven Berry Conference Finals for the right to play for the President's Cup Championship.
The Mudbugs have now won four of their last six games when facing elimination and still rank #1 among all CHL playoff teams in both goals-against average and penalty killing. Mudbugs playoff ticket package holders are reminded to use their tickets marked "Playoff Game F" for tonight's contest, and don't forget to bring your Teal Towels to tonight's game to help cheer the ¬ËBugs on to victory!
