Mudbugs And RiverKings To Clash On Saturday

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Looking for a way to unwind this weekend after all the craziness of Christmas? Saturday will be the perfect time to bring the family out to CenturyTel Center for an entertaining evening of Mudbugs hockey! The Mudbugs are set to host a great rivalry game against the Mississippi RiverKings at 7:05 pm the day after Christmas, presented by Unifirst.
The Mudbugs are one of the hottest teams in the Central Hockey League with a six-game winning streak heading into this weekend. The streak has propelled Bossier-Shreveport past both Mississippi and Tulsa and into third place in the Northern Conference standings coming into Saturday's game.
The 'Bugs have enjoyed a great deal of success against the rival RiverKings this year, winning the last four meetings in the series and five of six overall. In the most recent games between the clubs, Bossier-Shreveport swept a weekend home-and-home series on December 11 and 12, coming from behind to win 5-4 on Friday and then winning 3-1 on Mississippi ice the next day. After facing the 'Kings Saturday at home, the Mudbugs will make their first-ever visit to Allen, Texas to face the Allen Americans at 6:30 pm on Sunday.
Fans will also have an opportunity to participate in public skating following Saturday night's game. Anyone attending the game is
invited to rent a pair of ice skates or bring their own and skate on the CenturyTel Center ice for a cost of just $6.00 per person including skate rental. Public skating is limited to the first 100 people to sign up at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center located inside the main CTC entrance.
