Tennessee Mud Frogs News Release

ndianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Tennessee Mud Frogs would play THIS season rather than starting in 2007. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "Since the announcement was made, the City of Chattanooga and surrounding area responded overwhelmingly asking that they want the team to play this season. So, we decided to put them into the schedule for this season."

Patrick Chatman, team owner added, "Chattanooga does not have a professional team to watch. I have many people saying to me that it would be great to have former high school and college players from the area to play, but want to see it now, not next year. Since the ABA made the announcement, the Mud Frogs have been leaping into the minds of the people and it has been exciting for the community. ABA pro ball is great. I've been asked many times, "when is the season starting?" When I said 2007, they said you should play this year. So, working with the league, we decided to move it up - and we have had loud cheers! It is our goal to play good basketball and to give good entertainment for Chattanooga. The Tennessee Mud Frogs will be leaping your way soon! Ribbet!"
