MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo and the executive vice-president of the Impact and the Saputo Stadium Richard Legendre recently greeted to the stadium site Mme. Francine Sénécal, vice-president of the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal, as well as Mme. Manon Barbe, Associate consultant, Sports & Leisure.
Mrs. Sénécal and Mrs. Barbe acknowledged with a mix of interest and surprise the progress of the works at Saputo Stadium, located in Olympic Park. To this effect, the club's administrative staff will move into their new offices as early as February 22.
Located on the corner of Sherbrooke and Viau Streets, the Saputo Stadium, will have a 13,000-seat capacity. Estimated at $15 million, the project is entirely privately funded with half of this amount -$7.5 million- donated by the Saputo family.
