
Mountain Ducks Sign Three Pitchers

OZARK, MO â The Springfield-Ozark Mountain Ducks have signed Pitcher Andy Dettman, Starting Pitcher Mike Sanchez, and Pitcher Matt Dill, field manager Phil Wilson announced today.
Andy Dettman will return for the Ducks for the 2002 Season. The Mountain Ducks pitcher played in 25 games last season with a 6.55 ERA, 43 Strikeouts and 41 walks. The Rockford Illinois native will be starting his second season with the Ducks. Mike Sanchez will join the Ducks from the Greenville Bluesman. The Riverside California native played in 25 games for the Bluesman last season with a 5.15 ERA, 86 strikeouts and 67 walks. Sanchez was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in the 1995 draft.
Matt Dill will return for the Ducks for his second season in professional baseball. Last season Dill played in 12 games with a 5.68 ERA, 20 strikeouts and 15 walks. Dill, originally from Springfield Missouri played at Fort Hays St. before signing with the Ducks for the 2001 season
