
Moose Sponsor First Nations Cup Hockey Tourney During May Long Weekend

The Manitoba Moose are proud to announce that they are the main sponsor for the Manitoba Moose First Nations Cup hockey tournament occurring during the Victoria Day long weekend.
There are over 600 youngsters from age 9 to 17 and 40 different teams involved in the hockey tournament and games will be played at the Highlander and at Stonewall. The Moose organization has provided game pucks, hockey supplies and will be involved, with the RCMP, in a pre-game talk to the youngsters emphasizing the positive aspects of hockey.
"This is an opportunity for the Moose to extend a hand to the First Nations community and to show the potential of hockey to enrich their lives, " stated Moose Community Relations Director Jeff Mager.
The Manitoba Moose First Nations Cup Championship schedule:
Atoms (9-10 years old): Sunday, May 18 at Highlander. Game time 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CT.
Pee Wees (11-12): Sunday, May 18 at Highlander. Game time 1-3 p.m. CT.
Bantams (13-14): Sunday, May 18 at Highlander. Game time 3:30-5:30 p.m. CT.
Midgets (15-17): Sunday, May 18 at Highlander. Game time 6-8 p.m. CT.
