Montreal Sasquatch News Release

The Montreal Sasquatch today announced the signing of former Maryland Nighthawks guard Randy "White Chocolate" Gill, widely considered one of the PBL's premier scorers.

"We are very proud to announce the signing of Randy "White Chocolate Gill," stated Montreal Sasquatch General Manager Pascal Fleury. "Randy's signing shows how serious this organization is taking our first year in the league. Randy is a proven player that has the ability to make a difference in big games."

Montreal Sasquatch Owner Real Bourassa said about the signing, "I am very familiar with Randy's game back when I owned the Kebs. Randy has a deadly shot and has proven he can compete at the highest level."

The 6-2, 195-pound guard averaged 17.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 with the Nighthawks last season. Gill spent the previous four seasons with the Nighthawks and has also played professionally in Venezuela and in the ABA, CBA and USBL. Gill participated in the NBA's Washington Wizards summer training camp.

Gill was signed to an off-season contract with the PBL's Augusta Groove, but was released from his contract last week contract before reporting to Augusta.

"I am extremely happy that I will be playing for a first-class organization," said Gill. "There were multiple offers within the PBL that came my way, but I felt Montreal made the biggest push. I feel wanted here and look forward to bringing my exciting play to Montreal."

One of the most proficient scorers in the PBL, Gill set two all-time PBL individual scoring records, scoring the most points in a regular season game (45 against the defending champion Rochester RazorSharks on 2/24/08) and scoring the most point in a post season game (38 against the Wilmington Sea Dawgs on 3/18/08).

Gill will report to Montreal on December 26 and wear jersey number three.
