The Montreal Impact and the Miami FC played to a 0-0 tie, Sunday, in front of 12,142 spectators at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. The Impact took control of the game from the onset, with numerous incursions in the Miami zone, but was unable to capitalize on their chances. Miami FC forward Romario, who scored the winning goal in Toronto last Friday against the Lynx, was neutralized, and did not obtain a shot on goal. Goalkeeper Greg Sutton earned his fourth shutout in five starts this season, his 62nd overall. The crowd of 12,142 fans, was the third largest in Impact history for a regular season game, the fourth in club history.

IMPACT RECEIVES PUERTO RICO ON SUNDAY

The Impact will take place this Sunday, June 4, at 4 pm (Sport Plus XM-172, CJAD 800) against the Puerto Rico Islanders at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. It will be Mauricio Salles second game against his former team. In the first game against the Islanders, on April 30, Salles scored the game winning goal in a 1-0 win.

KIDS FROM THE CLUB DES PETITS DÉJEUNERS MEET THE IMPACT

Montreal Impact players organized a very special day for about thirty members of the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec last Saturday: the final activity of a new program called Reach your goal with the Impact, which took place from February 6 to April 7, 2006. For the occasion, children from the Cardinal-Léger Elementary School club in Anjou attended an Impact training session at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex and also participated in some drills. Throughout the program, the kids were asked to meet different team challenges, under the supervision of midfielder Patrick Leduc.

IMPACT JOINS REGROUPEMENT OF MAGASINS-PARTAGE

For the third consecutive year, the Montreal Impact is joining the campaign launched by Le Regroupement des Magasins-Partage de l'Île de Montréal (RMPIM) in association with the Montreal School Commission (CSDM) that is designed to help underprivileged kids. After taking part in the 2004 and 2005 back-to-school programs, the Impact will join forces with the RMPIM right at the start of the fundraising campaign this year. Also, one of the Impact's home games at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex this season will be dedicated to the RMPIM campaign.

IMPACT JOS LOUIS PUBLIC PRACTICE JUNE 7

The Montreal Impact will hold its first public practice of the summer on Wednesday, June 7, at 7 pm at Concordia's Loyola Campus. Presented by Jos Louis cakes, the practice will feature drills, animation as well as the chance to win promotional items. The whole team and the coaching staff will be on site. There will be prizes and autograph sessions. Five other public practices will also take place throughout the summer.

Designed by Lloyd Barker, former Montreal Impact player who is now the club's Director of Youth Development, the program includes many different exercises that professional players use.
