Montana Native Signed as the First Player for Butte Daredevils

Albany, NY - (June 8, 2006) - The Butte Daredevils of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) have signed the first player in franchise history, Matt Luedtke of Ronan, Montana. Luedtke, a shooting guard from the University of Montana - Western, played with the San Jose Skyrockets in the American Basketball Association (ABA) last season, where he shot 37.5% from the 3-point line and averaged 13.5 points per game.

"We're very pleased to have Matt Luedtke return to play for one of our franchises. He played a key role in our success at San Jose last season, and we're looking forward to his success here in Butte," said Kermit Young, Director of Basketball Operations for Apex Sportstainment, the holding company for the Butte Daredevils. Young was the Head Coach for the San Jose Skyrockets last season.

"It was a natural for us to sign Luedtke to play for our Butte franchise," stated Joe Clark, CEO and Managing Partner of Apex and General Manager of the Butte Daredevils. "Matt and his new wife have a strong bond with the Butte area, and we hope that the locals will come and watch him play."
