Moncton Magic Begin Preseason Tour

(Moncton, New Brunswick) - The Moncton Magic faced off against the Fujian Sturgeons this morning in their first game of their pre-season tour with the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). The Magic fell to the Sturgeons is a tight match, 92-84.

Starting for the Magic; returning players Corey Allmond, and Denzell Taylor, as well newcomers Doug Herring Jr., Ari Stewart, and Walter Pitchford. 3-point specialist, Corey Allmond, and Ari Stewart led the Magic with 16 points each, followed by Pitchford with 14 points. Point guard, Doug Herring Jr. contributed with 12 points and 9 assists. Jahii Carson did not play due to an upper body injury.

On the Strugeon side, Russel Smith led the court with 30 points. Smith is a former Louisville standout, and the CBA leading scorer. Canadian, and former NBA player, Anthony Nicholson added 18 points for the Strugeons.
