Monarchs waive La'Tangela Atkinson

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., June 28, 2008 - The Sacramento Monarchs today announced that the organization has waived La'Tangela Atkinson. The Monarchs originally acquired the 6-1 guard/forward from the Indiana Fever on March 23, 2007, in exchange for the Monarchs 2008 second round draft pick.

Atkinson played 33 games with the Monarchs over the past two seasons averaging 9.1 minutes, 2.2 points (.444 FG% and .696 FT%), 1.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game. In 2008 she appeared in five games, with one start and averaged 14.6 minutes, 2.8 points (.375 FG% and .500 FT%), 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game.
