Sacramento Monarchs News Release
Early this morning, Rebekkah Brunson was stopped for a routine moving violation and subsequently she was tested and charged with a DUI violation.
John Whisenant Statement:
We've communicated our deep disappointment to Rebekkah regarding the poor personal judgment which allowed this incident to occur and we take this very seriously. We believe she understands the implications and the seriousness of her actions and we will be supporting Rebekkah during this time.
Rebekkah Brunson Statement:
I would like to apologize to the Sacramento Monarchs organization, the Sacramento Monarchs fans and the Sacramento community. I am very embarrassed and ashamed and I am well aware of the seriousness of the situation. It's not representative of how I live my life and I recognize what a huge mistake this is. I am deeply sorry.
