
Monarchs Clinch Fifth Consecutive Playoff Berth

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 7, 2007 -The Sacramento Monarchs have announced that the team has clinched a playoff berth in the 2007 WNBA Playoffs. This marks the back-to-back Western Conference Champion's fifth consecutive playoff appearance - their eighth appearance in nine seasons.
Tickets for the Monarchs first round home playoff game (Game 1A) are on sale now. The official date, time and opponent of the first round Game 1A will be announced as soon as it is available, closer to the end of the regular season.
"The last two playoff runs at ARCO Arena have been the most thrilling and memorable in Sacramento Monarchs history, resulting in back-to-back finals appearances and a WNBA Championship," said Danette Leighton, vice president of Monarchs business operations. "We are looking forward to another exciting playoff run in 2007."
The quickest and most convenient way to purchase tickets for Game 1A of the Monarchs first round playoff series is by visiting SacramentoMonarchs.com. Tickets are available via SacramentoMonarchs.com immediately.
Beginning Wednesday, August 8, at 10 a.m., fans may purchase tickets by calling the Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone at (916) 649-TIXS, (530) 528-TIXS or (209) 551-TIXS. Tickets will also be available at the ARCO Arena Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets.
Ticket on-sale information for future home playoff games will be posted as it becomes available at SacramentoMonarchs.com.
