Nashville SC News Release

TAMPA - Nashville Soccer Club's Lebo Moloto and Forrest Lasso have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 32 following standout performances in both of the team's recent victories. It is the first time in club history that Nashville SC has had two players honored in the same week.

Moloto was a driving force in Nashville's offense on Saturday's 2-0 shutout win over North Carolina FC at Nissan Stadium. The midfielder had a goal and an assist on the night and completed 31 of 37 passes. He also created three chances while winning five of six duels. Moloto's first Team of the Week honor in 2019 came in Week 22 after his goal and assist against his former club, Swope Park Rangers.

Across the two matches, Lasso had 20 clearances, 10 recoveries, won 16 of 18 duels and 10 aerials. He also provided the assist off of a free kick that set up Jimmy Ockford for the match-winning goal against Louisville on Tuesday night. Lasso's prior Team of the Week appearance was in Week 23 of the season after earning back-to-back clean sheets with the team against Hartford Athletic and Bethlehem Steel FC.

Nashville SC has been represented on 13 of the 32 Teams of the Week this season. Along with Moloto and Lasso, Ken Tribbett (x3), Daniel Ríos, Matt Pickens, Kosuke Kimura, Alan Winn, Taylor Washington, Bradley Bourgeois and Justin Davis have all earned Team of the Week honors in the 2019 regular season.

The team finishes the USL Championship regular season this Saturday, Oct. 19 against Atlanta United 2 at First Tennessee Park, presented by Coca-Cola. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
