ESPN's Soccer Saturday features a Western Conference matchup with a pair of teams trying to shake off indifferent starts to the 2006 campaign. Real Salt Lake has been close to putting an end to their lengthy winless run, yet they are still searching for a first victory this year, their lone point coming in their only home game. The Los Angeles Galaxy finally leave California after four consecutive games - going winless in their three home games to begin defense of their MLS Cup title.

Another mouthwatering matchup for the early season awaits at RFK Stadium, where the top two teams to this point in the 2006 campaign face off. Both clubs are still unbeaten on the season. D.C. United has followed a season-opening draw with three successive victories, matching their best-ever start to a season, while FC Dallas also has three victories and a draw to show for their efforts thus far, though all of their wins have come in the friendly confines of Pizza Hut Park.

The two Hunt Sports Group rivals play for the second time in five weeks to open the season, after the Kansas City Wizards got their season off to a rolling start with a 3-1 win in the season opener against the Crew at Arrowhead Stadium. But the Crew come in after their first win on the campaign, a dramatic win at the Los Angeles Galaxy, while the Wizards saw their perfect start ended last Sunday in a loss to FC Dallas.

This is the second of four meetings between the Eastern Conference rivals this season, the only two East teams not to reach the MLS Cup Playoffs a season ago. It's the first of two at Crew Stadium; their next meeting is also at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, on June 10. The season series finale is set for Aug. 12 in Kansas City.

A year ago, the Crew won the season series, winning two of the four meetings with one draw as the teams were paired in the Eastern Conference for the first time.

The teams have evenly split their last nine meetings, each winning three with three draws over that time, dating back to the final meeting of the 2003 season.

On First Kick 2005, the Colorado Rapids provided the opposition for the first-ever match in Houston Dynamo history - and went down to a heavy defeat at Robertson Stadium. They now meet again in the Mile High City, the Rapids coming in after a week off and a win and a draw in their last two games, while Dynamo put an end to their two-game losing skid with a dramatic come-from-behind victory last weekend at home against Real Salt Lake.

Both Bradley and his successor - Mo Johnston - are looking to shake off a run of tough results: Chivas has lost two in a row after a promising season-opening win, while the Red Bulls have yet to win at all this season, though they lost for the first time last weekend.

The New England Revolution finally make their home bow this year against the Chicago Fire - still on their season-opening road odyssey - in a rematch of last year's taut Eastern Conference Championship. The Revolution are looking for goals - while they negotiated their difficult start with a win, draw and loss, they did so scoring just a solitary goal. The Fire are still looking for a first victory of the season as they play the fourth game of their nine-game road trip to begin the campaign, though they have claimed draws in their last two contests.
