September 20, 2013 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
NEW YORK (September 20, 2013) - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Toronto FC midfielder Jonathan Osorio for two games and fined him for his act of violent conduct that endangered the safety of his opponent, New York Red Bulls defender Kosuke Kimura, in the 77th minute of their Sept. 14 game (VIDEO).
The Committee has issued a fine to New York Red Bulls midfielder Dax McCarty for violating the policy regarding hands to the face/head of an opponent in the 77th minute of the Sept. 14 game against Toronto FC.
The Committee has issued a fine to New York Red Bulls defender Jamison Olave for violent conduct in the 45th minute of the Sept. 14 game against Toronto FC. The referee did not see the incident, and the Committee determined that the act did not reach the level of egregiousness required for a suspension, but that it warranted a fine.
The Committee has suspended Montreal Impact Sporting Director Nick De Santis one game and fined for continued aggressive, confrontational, and irresponsible behavior toward the match officials following the Sept. 14 game against the Columbus Crew.
