MLS Disciplinary Committee Actions from Week 22

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee today announced the following actions based on infractions during Week 22 of the regular season:

Philadelphia Union midfielder Keon Daniel is suspended one game and fined for an act of violent conduct against his opponent, Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Jun Marques Davidson, in eighth minute of their game on July 27. Daniel will serve his suspension tomorrow when the Union host Chicago Fire.

Real Salt Lake midfielder Yordany Alvarez is suspended three games for a reckless challenge that injured his opponent, New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill, in the 4th minute of their game on July 27. Alvarez will serve his suspension tomorrow when RSL visits the Colorado Rapids, Aug. 10 vs. Houston Dynamo and Aug. 17 at the LA Galaxy.

Colorado Rapids defender Hendry Thomas is suspended one game and fined for a reckless challenge that endangered the safety of his opponent, LA Galaxy midfielder Hector Jimenez, in the 4th minute of their game on July 27. Thomas is also suspended one game for yellow card accumulation and will serve his suspension tomorrow when the Rapids host Real Salt Lake and Aug. 11 when the Rapids visit Chivas USA.
