MLS & Staple Release Inaugural MLS Cup Presented by Audi Streetwear
December 5, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
NEW YORK - Prior to the highly-anticipated 2023 MLS Cup presented by Audi on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. EST, the League announced today the unveiling of a capsule collaboration with streetwear brand STAPLE, founded by creative visionary Jeff Staple. The collection elevates the MLS Cup merchandise to celebrate the championship match.
"We are thrilled to have a renowned streetwear brand like STAPLE along for the ride for what will mark the end of another exciting season in Major League Soccer," said Rachel Hoagland, MLS SVP of Consumer Products. "This special collection is the latest evolution of the League's commitment to spotlighting the creativity in our sport and connecting soccer with progressive fashion offerings."
Marking the first-time fans will have the opportunity to sport MLS Cup themed apparel, the collaboration will consist of two t-shirts, a hoodie, a crewneck sweatshirt and a rugby polo, as well as accessories such as a cap and scarf.
"It's a huge honor to collaborate with Major League Soccer, the largest soccer organization in the United States, to bring streetwear culture to the pitch!" says Jeff Staple. "This collection embodies the winning spirit of the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy, and we hope fans wear it with pride as we celebrate the next champion."
Ranging from $35 to $160, the collection is inspired by vintage soccer graphics and the iconic Phillip F. Anschutz trophy, which is given to every club who wins MLS Cup. The trophy's silver, gold and black color palette is utilized throughout the collection of apparel and accessories.
All items from the MLS Cup x STAPLE collection are available for purchase on staplepigeon.com as well as select items available at mlsstore.com and at the Crew Shop at Lower.com Field in Columbus.
