Mississippi's Dillon Fox Named Warrior Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Dillon Fox of the Mississippi RiverKings is the Warrior Player of the Week for March 19-25.

In his first games back following a two-month loan to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Fox scored three goals, including two game-winners, added three assists and was +3 as Mississippi swept a pair of games from Fayetteville to maintain their hold on a playoff spot.

On Friday, the Hummelstown, PA native assisted on Mississippi's first goal and then scored the eventual game-winner midway through the third period to break a 4-4 tie as the RiverKings went on to a 7-4 win over the Marksmen. The following night, Fox scored twice in Mississippi's four-goal second period and added a pair of assists as the RiverKings defeated Fayet- teville 5-4.

Despite playing only 28 games, Fox leads the RiverKings with five game-winning goals and three short- handed goals (tied), while ranking second in goals (28). Now in his second full season with the RiverK- ings, Fox played his collegiate hockey at SUNY-Plattsburgh where he recorded 30 goals and 46 assists in 96 career games with the Cardinals.
