Head East: The Mississippi Surge play 3 games this week in the eastern time zone facing the Knoxville Ice Bears, Friday (6:35 p.m.central time) and the Fayetteville FireAntz Saturday (6:30 central time) and Sunday (3 p.m. central time)
Working OT: The Surge lost two overtime games last week, to Knoxville, 4-3 and 3-2. Dramatic finishes have been the rule as the Surge has had three straight games go into overtime.
In The Pink: January 20th will be the next home game for the Surge, which will be the annual Pink in the Rink to benefit the American Cancer Society. Surge players will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned after the game in the Camellia Ballroom of the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. 'Pink in the Rink' is being presented by Beau Rivage, Garden Park Medical Center and WLOX.
