Blast Notes - Baltimore dropped two road games in as many days last week, falling 4-3 in Philadelphia on Saturday and 7-2 in Milwaukee on Sunday... GK Sagu saved 13 of 17 shots on Saturday in his first start since 1/21... F Allen Eller scored twice vs. the KiXX... The Blast is now tied with Chicago for the worst road record (3-8) in the league... F Carlos "Chile" Farias maintains the lead in the Spalding Scoring Championship race with 35 pts (18 g, 17 ast)... F Giuliano Celenza is in a three-way tie for the MISL lead in goals (21)... GK Brian Rowland is 2nd in the MISL with a .745 sv%... The Blast plays host to Kansas City on 2/18 and Cleveland on 2/19.

Danny Waltman was named Goalkeeper of the Week after saving 10 of 11 shots against the Wave... Waltman is T-2nd in the league with 11 wins, 2nd with 1,227 min, and 3rd with 241 svs... F Mark Ughy scored 2 g, including the gwg, to give him 7 g and 8 pts in 7 games with the Storm... F Novi Marojevic is 6th in the MISL with 30 pts... Chicago is now 8-4 at home this season... The Storm welcomes St. Louis on 2/18 before traveling to Milwaukee on 2/20.

Comets Notes - Kansas City overwhelmed Cleveland 8-3 on Friday, but fell to the Force 6-5 in overtime the next night... F Jamar Beasley, the reigning Rookie of the Year, scored 4 g over the weekend... F Dino Delevski bagged 4 pts (2 g, 2 ast) in the 2 games, and now ranks 2nd in the league with 34 pts despite playing only 17 games... Delevski has scored 10 pts (5g, 5 ast) over the course of his current 6-game scoring streak... GK Sanaldo was solid on Friday, saving 22 of 25 shots in the win... The Comets' offense is tied for the best in the league at 6.0 gpg, but their defense is the MISL's worst, allowing 6.5 gpg... Kansas City travels to Baltimore on 2/19 and returns home to face Philadelphia on 2/19.

Wave Notes - The Wave's losing streak reached 4 games with a 5-1 defeat against Chicago on Friday, but Milwaukee rebounded with a resounding 7-2 win over Baltimore on Sunday... Chris Morman was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording 3 pts and 2 blk over the weekend; all of those pts (2 g, ast) came on Sunday... GK Nick Vorberg, who leads the league with a 3.95 gaa, turned away 11 of 13 shots in Sunday's win... Milwaukee's defense (4.6 goals allowed per game) is the league's best, but the Wave's attack (5.2 gpg) ranks last... The Wave was in Philadelphia for a School Day Game on Wednesday morning; Milwaukee then heads to St. Louis on 2/19 and hosts Chicago on 2/20.

Interestingly, Apple has scored only 6 g and 11 pts in 12 home games, but has accounted for 14 g and 17 pts in 10 road matches... M Sterling Wescott is T-7th in the league with 29 pts... GK Brett Phillips ranks 2nd in the MISL with a 4.38 gaa and is T-2nd with 11 w... The Steamers return to action with a contest in Chicago (2/18) and a home game against Milwaukee (2/19)... St. Louis is a combined 4-3 against those clubs in 2004-05.
NOTABLE:
- Philadelphia F Don D'Ambra recorded the 150th assist of his indoor career on February 9.
- The Cleveland Force welcomed back a familiar face on Wednesday, signing legendary GK Otto Orf to a five-game/15-day contract. Over the course of his amazing 20-year career (481 games), Orf has won three championships, posted a 246-192 record, and saved 7,144 shots. A seven-time 20-game winner, Orf has also recorded 111 career assists.
- The St. Louis Steamers signed F Lindsay Kennedy to a five-game/15-day contract on 2/11. Upon her debut, she would become the first woman to play in the MISL and the fourth in indoor soccer history.
- St. Louis also pulled the trade trigger this week, acquiring veteran D Jeff Davis from Kansas City for F Ibrahim Kante and M Craig Scheer. The 33-year-old Davis is Kansas City's all-time leader in blocks with 418. The St. Louis native previously played in his hometown for the Ambush (1993-96) and Steamers of the WISL (2000-01).
- Over the course of their five-game winning streak, the expansion Chicago Storm has outscored opponents 33-15.
- Philadelphia's Pat Morris (29 pts, 52 blk) leads a select list of players with at least 20 points and 20 blocks this season. The others are: Baltimore's David Bascome (21-20), Cleveland's John Ball (27-30), Kansas City's Vlatko Andonovski (24-28), and St. Louis' Sterling Wescott (29-22).
