GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Nick Vorberg, Milwaukee Wave

Nick Vorberg adds yet another award to his 2004-05 total after turning away 15 of 18 shots in Milwaukee's 10-3 victory over the Kansas City Comets on Sunday afternoon. With his performance, Vorberg earned his league-leading 17th win of the season and increased his save percentage to .764, also the best in the MISL. He has now won four Goalkeeper of the Week Awards this season (tied for the most in the league) and was named the Goalkeeper of the Month for December and February.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Genoni Martinez, Cleveland Force

The 2002-03 MISL Defender of the Year was outstanding over the weekend, scoring seven points (five goals, two assists) and blocking five shots in two Cleveland wins. On Friday, the 30-year-old accounted for three goals and four points in a 7-5 win over Baltimore. He followed up with three more points (two goals, assist) and five blocks in Sunday's 10-6 triumph over the Chicago Storm. In eight games since joining the Force, Martinez has accumulated eight goals and 19 points while blocking 13 shots. For the season, he has recorded 12 goals, 26 points, and 20 blocks in 14 appearances. He was also named Defensive Player of the Week on December 6.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

John Ball, Cleveland Force

John Ball posted a pair of hat tricks in Cleveland's two wins en route to his first weekly recognition of the season. A one-time defender, Ball has completed his transformation into a premier target player. He has hit the three-goal mark in each of his last three outings (giving him four hat tricks for the season), and now finds himself tied for third in the MISL with 41 points and tied for fifth with 19 assists. The versatile veteran has also blocked 33 shots. Ball is the first Force player to win Offensive honors in 2004-05.
