
MISL All-Star Broadcast Will Reach 32 Million Homes

(Westport, Conn., February 26, 2004) â The 2004 MISL All-Star Game will be available in over 32 million U.S. homes on six different networks, and to a national audience throughout Mexico, the League has announced.
"The 2004 MISL All-Star Game is an ideal television event, and we are delighted that our expansive broadcast package will achieve such broad reach on an international basis," stated MISL Commissioner Steve Ryan. "The most talented players our League has to offer will have a grand stage to showcase the action-packed, compelling sport of indoor soccer."
As part of the broadcast package, the All-Star Game will be seen live on Comcast CN8 on Sunday, February 29, from 2:00 â 4:30 p.m. Eastern. CN8 boasts a presence in New England and throughout the Mid-Atlantic states, reaching over six million homes.
The game will air on a tape-delay basis on FOX Sports Net Chicago (3.8 million homes) on Monday, March 1, at 12:00 p.m. Central; on FOX Sports Net Bay Area (3.7 million homes in Northern California and Northern Nevada) on Saturday, March 6, at 7:00 p.m. Pacific; on Cox Cable Channel 4 (800,000 homes in San Diego), on Sunday, February 29, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific; and on Metro Sports in Kansas City March 1 (12:30 p.m. Central), March 4 (2:30 p.m.), and March 6 (7:00 p.m.) Central. The All-Star Game will also air nationally on Fox Sports World (17.1 million homes), on Friday, March 5, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
The Major Indoor Soccer League will also enjoy its first television exposure in Mexico when TV-Azteca broadcasts the game nationally at 3:00 p.m. Central on Sunday, February 29. The TV-Azteca broadcast will feature the MISL graphics, but will have its own Spanish-language announcing crew.

Al Pawlowski, in his sixth year as play-by-play man for the Cleveland Force, and Milwaukee Wave Assistant Coach Art Kramer, a veteran of nearly 400 indoor games, will serve as the television broadcast team for the U.S. broadcasts. Pawlowski served as the voice of the MISL All-Star Game in 2002 (Cleveland) and 2003 (Milwaukee). Mark Rogondino, the radio and television broadcaster for the San Diego Sockers, will join Pawlowski and Kramer as a sideline reporter.
The 2004 MISL Legends Game (which will kick off following the All-Star Game) will be broadcast live over the Internet via the MISL official website at www.misl.net. Rogondino and Kramer will provide the call for the Legends contest on the World Wide Web.
