Published on March 10, 2004 under National Lacrosse League (NLL) News Release
Mike Miron of the Arizona Sting was named the Overall and Defensive player of the week for his performance in a 14-4 win over Rochester this weekend. Miron held the Knighthawks to four goals including two scoreless quarters in the victory. The Arizona goaltender tied a league record for goals allowed in a regular season game with four. Miron tied the record only one week after the Roughnecks Curtis Palidwor tied the same record against the Sting. It is only the tenth time in league history a team was held to only four goals in a regular season game. Miron also tallied 38 saves in the victory.
Pat Maddalena of the Arizona Sting was named the offensive player of the week for Week #11. Maddalena scored three goals and added five assists for eight points and scooped up one loose ball in a 14-4 win over Rochester.
