
Minnesota Wild Signs Jon Disalvatore, Jamie Fraser

HOUSTON - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the team has signed right wing Jon DiSalvatore to a two-year contract and defenseman Jamie Fraser to a one-year contract. Both players signed two-way contracts.
DiSalvatore, 29 (3/30/81), captained the 2009-10 Houston Aeros and posted 52 points (21-31=52) and 28 PIM in 79 games. The 6-foot-1, 200 pound native of Bangor, Maine, has scored 369 points (150-219=369) and added 270 PIM in 522 career games in the American Hockey League, playing for Cleveland, Worcester, Peoria, San Antonio, Lowell and Houston. He also played in five games for the St. Louis Blues during the 2005-06 season, making his NHL debut January 19, 2006 at Washington. DiSalvatore played four seasons at Providence College (1999-03) and was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 4th round (#104 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Fraser, 24 (11/17/85), finished third among Aeros defensemen in points and set a career high with 16 assists last season, posting 22 points (6-16=22) and 36 PIM in 59 games. Prior to joining the Aeros, Fraser played three seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2006-09), scoring 59 points (21-38=59) and adding 66 PIM in 179 games. He played in one game with the New York Islanders in 2008-09, making his NHL debut April 4, 2009 versus Tampa Bay. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Sarnia, Ont., played junior hockey with the Ontario Hockey League's (OHL) Brampton Battalion and Sarnia Sting.
