Minnesota Whitecaps' Tickets on Sale S Aturday

September 14, 2018 - National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) - Minnesota Whitecaps News Release

Individual game tickets for the inaugural NWHL season of the Minnesota Whitecaps will go on sale this Saturday, Sept. 15 beginning at 6:00 a.m. CT at NWHL.zone/tickets.

General admission tickets are just $20, with premier seating also available for fans. Group tickets, discounted for groups of ten or more, can also be purchased at NWHL.zone/tickets. All Whitecaps home games in the 2018-19 season will be played at TRIA Rink in Saint Paul.

In addition, Whitecaps staff and select players will be at Xcel Energy Center from 9 a.m. - Noon on Saturday as part of the Wild's "Flood the Rink" event. At the Whitecaps' table on the skyway level, above the Xcel Energy Center box office, fans will be able to purchase tickets, receive information on the team and - as an exclusive sneak peek - be the first to see and share pictures on social media of the Whitecaps' new jersey. Among the Whitecaps players scheduled to appear in the morning are Amanda Boulier, Kalli Funk, Amanda Leveille, Margo Lund, Sadie Lundquist and Allie Thunstrom.

At the "Flood the Rink" event, fans can join the Whitecaps and the rest of the community in creating the ice for the Wild's 2018-19 NHL season. In portable containers (a maximum of three ounces of water) fans can contribute their water into a Zamboni located outside Gate 1 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fan-provided water will be filtered and used the following day to help make ice at Xcel Energy Center. This is a special opportunity to contribute water from local hockey ponds, lakes and rinks to be filtered and frozen into the Xcel Energy Center ice sheet. This year the Wild is challenging fans to collect water from all 10,000-plus lakes in Minnesota.

The Whitecaps will open the 2018-19 season with a pair of games at TRIA Rink on Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7 against the defending Isobel Cup champions, the Metropolitan Riveters. The Whitecaps feature 2018 Team USA Olympic gold medalists Kendall Coyne Schofield, Hannah Brandt and Lee Stecklein, along with reigning NWHL Goaltender of the Year Amanda Leveille and many of the greatest players in the State of Hockey.
