
Minnesota Trims Roster by Four

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the National Hockey League Club (NHL) has reduced its training camp roster to 38 players.
The team assigned forward Mario Lucia to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and released forward Colton Beck from a professional tryout contract. Beck is under an AHL contract with Iowa and will report to Des Moines for training camp. Minnesota also placed forward Marc Hagel and defenseman Zach Palmquist on waivers. If they clear waivers by Saturday morning, the two will report to Iowa for training camp.
Iowa holds its first official practice this Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. The team follows up with the Green-White Scrimmage at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 in downtown Des Moines. Entry to the game is free for anyone who wants to attend. The team will hold a brief 30-minute full team autograph session after the scrimmage for all fans to attend.
The Wild practices at Wells Fargo Arena at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, before moving to Metro Ice for the next two days. Iowa practices at Metro on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 before departing for preseason games against Manitoba.
The Iowa Wild plays a pair of preseason games, both will be in North Dakota against the Manitoba Moose - the Winnipeg Jets AHL affiliate. Iowa and Manitoba meet at Scheels Arena in Fargo, ND on Sat., Oct. 8 at 7 P.M. The two teams will play a second preseason game at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, ND on Sun., Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.
The 2016-17 Iowa Wild regular season schedule begins on Oct. 14 and single-game tickets for the 2016-17 regular season are on sale now. Opening Night 2016 is set for Friday, Oct. 14 at Wells Fargo Arena, when the team opens a seven-game home stand.
The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center: and runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2016-17 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $10 per game. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
