Minnesota Swarm to Host Exhibition Game at Xcel Energy Center on Friday, December 10

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Swarm General Manager Marty O'Neill announced today that the National Lacrosse League (NLL) club will host an exhibition game against the Colorado Mammoth at Xcel Energy Center on Friday, December 10 at 7:30 PM. The contest will mark the first-ever professional indoor lacrosse game in the state of Minnesota.

Tickets to Minnesota's first-ever professional indoor lacrosse game are free to the public. Fans can order up to four free tickets to the game by going to the Minnesota Swarm's web site at www.mnswarm.com and clicking on the Free Swarm Tickets link located on the front page of the site. This is a general admission event and no seat locations will be assigned. Requested tickets will be distributed by mail in early December. There is a limit of four tickets per person and supplies are limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans can also contact the Minnesota Swarm customer sales and service department at (651) 222-9453 to request tickets or stop by the Xcel Energy Center Box Office (175 West Kellogg Boulevard). The Xcel Energy Center Box Office is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The game will also feature an appearance by the Mammoth's Gary Gait, the NLL's all-time leader in goals and points, who has announced his retirement effective at the end of the 2005 season. Minnesota and Colorado will face-off in an exhibition game the following night, Saturday, December 11, at the Larimer County Events Center at The Ranch in Loveland, Denver. The teams are not scheduled to meet during the 2005 regular season.

The Swarm will begin play in the NLL's Eastern Division this January. Minnesota will make its NLL regular season debut on the road against the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, January 1. The Swarm will host the Buffalo Bandits in its home opener on Friday, January 21 at 7:30 PM. A $25.00 per seat deposit guarantees your priority for season tickets. Lower level eight-game season ticket packages start at $80.00.
