
Minnesota Lynx Launch 2012 'Inspiring Women' Series

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the 2012 "Inspiring Women" series which will celebrate women throughout the state of Minnesota. Beginning with home games in June and continuing monthly during the season, the Lynx will highlight the actions of one woman who has inspired, motivated and encouraged others around them through personal and professional leadership. One winner will be honored during a home game each month with an on-court presentation in addition to having their individual story shared on LynxBasketball.com. The winner will also receive a team-autographed basketball.
Minnesota's "Inspiring Women" series will honor its first nominee during the game against the New York Liberty on Thursday, June 21 at Target Center. Fans can now submit nominations of inspirational people from their lives by visiting the Community tab on LynxBasketball.com.
